The various Atomic Heart screenshots shared by Mundfish show four unique settings, three of which are interior and the final one being an outdoor image. Since its reveal, Atomic Heart has been featured at big gaming showcases like E3 2021, the Xbox and Bethesda showcase 2021, and Gamescom 2022, with each video highlighting different aspects of the game. While Atomic Heart will release as a multi-platform title, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get their hands on the Mundfish FPS on the day of its release as confirmed during the aforementioned Xbox and Bethesda event.

Two weapons are shown prominently in the Atomic Heart screenshots released by Mundfish, with one appearing to be a futuristic makeshift rifle, and the other being a fairly standard pistol. The outdoor image shows a man in a worker’s jumpsuit standing in between burning cars in an open area that appears to be left in ruins, while the destruction of this screenshot is a theme shared across all of them as it was in the recent Atomic Heart boss battle gameplay. In one of the screenshots that shows the player standing near what seems to be generators that are glowing orange, the character appears to be holding a melee weapon, but it’s cropped to conceal the possible spoiler.
The three interior areas of the Atomic Heart screenshots are drastically different, with one being a well-lit staircase with colorful walls, floors, and clutter, the final one showing a broken room with exposed wires hanging from the ceiling, and the generator image being a happy medium. Though there have been multiple robotic Atomic Heart enemies revealed in combat clips since the game was announced, the robots hidden in two of the screenshots seem out of commission and one screenshot shows a robot being flattened by a destroyed bus. A screenshot also hints at Atomic Heart keybindings as the X key is associated with an item that stacks, while the Q, V, and E keys are central in the UI which may hint that they’re used for important abilities or equipment.
As many fans have expressed their enthusiasm for the Atomic Heart trailers and screenshots shared by Mundfish so far, some had questions about potential DLC, and weapons teased in the images. Though some Atomic Heart fans have requested a demo for the game from Mundfish, others just stated their anticipation for the February launch day.
Atomic Heart releases on February 21, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
