The collector’s edition of Death Stranding comes with everything included in the Special and Digital Deluxe editions with a few other perks as well. This includes a collectible steel book, in-game gold power skeletons that help with cargo or terrain, level 2 gold armor that gives Sam added protection, a special gold version of the “Ludens Mask” sunglasses, music from the game, a digital album download, a behind-the-scenes video, and 10 PSN character avatars.

Items exclusive to the collector’s edition include the aforementioned Bridge Baby pod, a Bridges cargo case, and Ludens keychain. Despite all of this swag associated with this version, it comes at the modest price of $200, which is nothing in comparison to the expensive Destroy All Humans! Crypto-137 edition, and it comes with an alien backpack. However, the biggest restraint when it comes to this Death Stranding collector’s edition may have more to do with time than money.
Reports indicate that some retailers ran out of collector’s editions within 30 minutes of stocking the merchandise before, which certainly bodes well for the launch of Death Stranding. Hopefully, it lives up to the expectations of the Kojima fanbase, as it launches in just a few short months.
Death Stranding launches on November 8, exclusively for PS4.
