Initially, Death Stranding’s PC port was supposed to release in June this year, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the game has been slightly delayed and will now launch on July 14th. Now, PC players who are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Death Stranding to the platform would be happy to know that Green Man Gaming is currently offering a discount to the game’s pre-order. Players can now pre-purchase Death Stranding for $49.19, which is 18% off its current list price of $59.99.

A couple of weeks ago, Kojima Productions and 505 Games revealed the PC requirements of Death Stranding. The game’s minimum specifications will run it at 720p at 30 frames per second, which is slightly below the PS4 version in terms of quality. On the other hand, its recommended specs allow Death Stranding to run at 1080p, 60 frames per second, which is still fairly accessible to most players on the PC.
As for what Kojima Productions plans to do next after the release of Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima revealed to Famitsu Magazine last February that the studio is looking to create smaller-scale games. Unfortunately, Kojima did not give specifics on the studio’s next project, but many predict that these small-scale games may come in episodic or digital-only formats.
Meanwhile, rumors also circulated that Kojima is working on a Death Stranding-related project this year. According to unconfirmed reports, instead of making a full-on sequel, Kojima plans to do a manga that revolves around the story of Death Stranding. Of course, given that Kojima did not confirm any of these rumors, players should take it with a grain of salt. In the end, the plans of Kojima Productions in the future remains a mystery, but it is likely that more information will be revealed as soon as Death Stranding hits the PC.
Death Stranding is available now on PS4 and will launch to the PC on July 14, 2020.
